The Wiggle Wash has teamed up with Your Dog Groomers to provide a monthly cat day! Together, we focus on the cat’s welfare, prioritising comfort over looks. This is to be considered a welfare groom as opposed to a groom for aesthetics.

Brush Out

During a Brush Out, we focus on removing the dead fur with the use of various combs and brushes. This helps to reduce matting, shedding hair and fur-balls.

Dry Bath

A dry bath is the perfect solution for cats who need a bath but hate water! Upon completion of the Brush Out, we then use dry shampoo to get right down to the cat’s skin, to refresh their coat, skin and leave them smelling lovely. Once the dry shampoo has been applied and sat for long enough to absorb all of the oils sat in the cat’s fur, we then go back in and perform a second brushing session.

De-matting

A range of matts post shave laid out on a grooming table.

Our de-matting service consists of us spot shaving any matting that is in your cat’s coat. We do not brush out matting due to cats having very sensitive and delicate skin. If more than 1/3 of the cat is matted, then it is considered a de-matting service.

We will also inspect your cat’s skin for signs of damage/issues caused by the matting.

Wet Bath

We are only able to do a wet bath on kittens or cats that have had previous wet baths at professional groomers. We will require evidence of this.

  • Bath using water and feline shampoo.

Lion Cut

This service is ideal for cats who can no longer keep on top of their own grooming, cats who have skin issues or allergies and need to access their skin with medication, or cats who suffer from excessive furballs.

Includes:

  • Nail clip,

  • Eye clean,

  • Shaving of body, legs, chest and neck,

  • Shaping of face,

  • Brush out of remaining fur.
